Formed on the 14th November 1942 in Buxton by the great Percy Stallard.
The BLRC Road Race Organisation fought the ban on road racing in Great Britain; the league
grew and began organising races including the Brighton to Glasgow from which the Tour of Britain was born.
Many supporters and league members wore a BLRC pin badge during the 1940s and 50s
